Seeking

In our cancer journeys, we have an opportunity to receive God’s comfort to sustain us, strengthen us, and give us peace. We can listen to God’s words of comfort through the Bible and share with Him our concerns through prayer. We can also pray these verses over people dealing with cancer to comfort them. God is always available to listen to us. See below for some encouragement.

God offers us His peace at all times. 

”Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

John 14:27


God sustains us.

“ So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10


God is our constant helper.

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

Psalm 121:1-2


God is our strong refuge. 

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”

Psalm 9:9


God gives us security. 

“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

Psalm 16:8 


God is close to us in our sadness.  

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Psalm 34:18


God strengthens us to endure any trial. 

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Psalm 46:1


God is faithful. 

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:22-23


God cares for us. 

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:7 


God has a good purpose for our lives. 

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
